Dive (SCUBA) Not a recommended combination. The Freedom 7 unit is designed with divers in mind, giving you a 3-5m radius shark safe zone from the centre of the antenna. It is attached to the ankle via a Neoprene and Velcro pouch, weighing 355grams including the antenna and less once submerged in the water (120grams). The 2 meter long tail which holds the electrodes is slightly negatively buoyant, dragging behind you so as not to get in the way. This unit has a 7 hour rechargeable lithium battery. The Scuba unit is similar to the Freedom 7 except the electrodes are separated. One is placed in a small meter long tail attached to the ankle and the other is attached to the dive bottle on your back. This unit produces a shark safe zone of up to 3-5m radius from the centre of the antenna with a battery life of 6-7hrs run time. It has a 100m max operating depth.
